Vivian Ann Barry Christensen

FORT HALL – Vivian Ann Barry Christensen, 94, out loving friend, passed away Monday, April 24, 2006 at the McKay-Dee Hospital in Ogden, Utah of natural causes.

She was born July 15, 1911 in Humphrey, Idaho, a daughter of James and Julie A. Robbins Barry. Vivian grew up and was educated in Spencer, Idaho.

She married Daniel Howard Christensen on October 28, 1933 in Paris, Idaho. From the time they were married they lived in the Fort Hall area. They built their own home together and Vivian was in on every nail pounded. Since her husband’s death in 1973, she has maintained her home, a place she dearly loved, along with her yard and flowers.

Vivian was a loving person, and was always lending a helping hand to anyone in need. For the past year she had been lovingly cared for by her niece and nephew, Marcene (Tom) Williams, who reside in Samaria.

She is survived by several other nieces and nephews and a brother-in-law, Ivan Christensen of Paul, Idaho. She was preceded in death by her parents, husband and siblings Minnie Davis, Myrtle Barry, Elmer Barry, Warren Barry, Orilla Huges and Kenneth Barry.

Funeral services will be held on Saturday, April 29, 2006 at noon in the Tyhee LDS 44th Ward Chapel. Friends may call at the church on Saturday prior to the service from 10:30 – 11:45 a.m. Burial will follow in the Firth Cemetery. Arrangements are by the Horsley Funeral Home, Malad.
