Michael Emmanuel Caulford

Michael Emmanuel Caulford was separated from his spirit on March 30, 3002 at his home in Malad, ID, from complications brought on from Shaken Baby Syndrome. Michael was born in Ogden, UT on July 22, 1990. He was the beloved son of Ronald P. and Carol J. Caulford of Malad City, ID. He came into our lives at the age of four months after being shaken by his biological father. Michael became part of our forever family in the Ogden Temple. He was a member of the Malad 3rd Ward.

While Michael was here in spirit, he was an influence to many. He would visit schools and church groups to show the effects of Shaken Baby Syndrome. He was the inspiration behind the video, “Michael, story of a Shaken Baby,” which is in most Davis County high schools. He will be surely missed.

Michael joins his grandfather, papa Jim Caulford, and niece, Celeste Stoker. Remaining here to keep his memories in their hearts are grandmother Vera Caulford of Layton, UT; grandmother Anna Roberts of Tillamook, OR; brother Gerald Scott Wood (Amy), Clinton, UT; sister Athena Stoker, Malad; two nieces, two nephews and numerous aunts, uncles and cousins.

Special thanks to all of the special angels, especially Christine Whitesides, Dr. Frank Kramer and Tonya at Tanner Clinic, Cynthia Clark, Dr. Johnson, Mark Cronin and Matt Larsen, and the Division of Child and Family Services in Clearfield and Ogden.

A funeral service, under the direction of Lindquist’s Clearfield Mortuary, was held April 2, 2003 at the Clearfield South Stake Center. Interment was in the Clearfield City Cemetery.
