AMERICAN FORK, Utah – Farren P. Hunsaker, 62, American Fork, died Oct. 17 at the American Fork hospital of a heart condition.
He was born March 10, 1924, in Malad, to Robert Jesse and Maria Palmer Hunsaker.
He married Pearl Ruth Ekstrom Jan. 13, 1945 in Pocatello. Their marriage was later solemnized in the Salt Lake LDS Temple Nov. 23, 1959.
He retired in 1983 with the Pacific Fruit Express after 30 years of service.
He lived in American Fork the past three hears. Prior to that he lived 34 years in Marsh Valley.
He graduated from Malad High School and attended Utah State University. He was a member of the LDS American Fork 17th Ward and was active in scouting and YMMIA.
He served as clerk and executive secretary in three bishoprics
He was a member of the Brotherhood of Railway Carmen and was a local chairman. He was veteran of World War II. serving in the U.S. Army.
Survivors include his wife, American Fork; four sons and one daughter, Farren LaMont and Carl Wayne, both of American Fork; Dennis. Orem, Utah; Donald Lee. Provo, Utah; Mrs. Arvon (Teresa) Harrison. American Fork; 28 grandchildren; two brothers and two sisters, Elmer P., San Francisco; Reed, Olympia, Wash.; Mrs. Zeph (Mae) Jones, Pocatello; and Mrs. Edward (Lela) Smith, American Fork. He was preceded in death by one daughter, Mrs. Bruce (Den-ice) Hunsaker Savage.
Funeral services will be 11 a.m. Mon¬day at the McCammon Stake Center with Bishop Gary Yearsley of the Arimo LDS Ward officiating. Friends may call Sunday from 6-8 p.m. at the Anderson and Sons Mortuary. American Fork, and at the ward chapel Monday one hour prior to services. Graveside services will be at 4 p.m. Monday at American Fork Cemetery
