Elbert J. Hubbard

PRESTON – Elbert J. Hubbard, 62, died Sunday, April 22, 2001, at his home in Preston. He was born December 16, 1938, in Malad, Idaho, the son of Myrle and Alice Valborg Jacobson Hubbard. He married Saundra Inez Thomas on April 15, 1960, in Brigham City, Utah.
He owned and operated Hubbard Packing Co. in Preston. He enjoyed trap shooting, fishing and cooking for people. He supported the youth in 4-H at fair time. He enjoyed being with people. He was a loving husband, father, and grandfather.
He is survived by his wife, Saundra, of Preston; by three sons, Darrell J. (Nancy) Hubbard, Nampa, Idaho; Jeffrey (Michelle) Hubbard, Preston; Kevin (Michelle) Hubbard, Preston; and nine grandchildren; mother, Alice Hubbard, Malad; sister, Helen (Don) Dewey, Ontario, Oregon; and two brothers, Lloyd (Delpha) Hubbard, Malad; Lowell Hubbard, Meridian, Idaho. He was preceded in death by his father, Myrle Hubbard.
Funeral services will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Thursday, April 26, 2001, in the Preston Third Ward Chapel, 155 North 200 West, with Bishop D. Byron Kelley conducting. Friends may call Wednesday from 5:30-7:30 p.m. at Webb Funeral Home and Thursday from 10:00-10:45 a.m. at the church. Interment will be in the Holbrook, Idaho Cemetery
