Ruby Petterborg Hobbs, 94, of Idaho Falls, (Idaho) a former J.C. Penney Co., employee, died Oct 29, 1993, at Idaho Falls Care Center.

She was born Nov 25, 1898, at Richmond, Utah to Emil and Anna Dobson Petterborg.

On Sept. 12, 1923, she married Rolla Hobbs. Their marriage was solemnized June 27, 1934 in the LDS Temple. Her Husband died Oct. 21, 1935. She later married Joe Johnson. He preceded her in death. She worked for Delmonte as a nurse and then for J.C. Penney Co., in Preston, (Idaho). She lived in Pocatello for 30 years, where she again worked for J.C. Penney Co.

Her hobbies included handwork, make quilts and slippers, and she donated man slippers to the rest homes.

Survivors include her children, Thaylon Hobbs of Idaho Falls, Frayne Hobbs of Orem, Utah, and Sharee Schenk of Pocatello; two sisters, Lucille Perkins of Salt Lake City, and Hazel Mobley of San Jose, Calif.; 16 grandchildren. She was preceded in death by a sister and nine brothers.

Funeral services will be at 1:00 p.m. Wednesday at the Franklin LDS Stake Center with Bishop Val Dean Durrant officiating. Visitation will be at the church Wednesday from 11 a.m. to 12:30 p.m. Burial will be in Franklin Cemetery under the direction of Webb Funeral Home in Preston.
