LaMont Hill

LaMont Hill, 34, 1730 West Quinn Road, former Malad resident, died Saturday at his home.
He was born September 26, 1952 in Malad, to John and Grace Colton Hill. He grew up and was educated in Malad and was a graduate of Malad High School. He then attended the Idaho State University School of Vocational-Technical Education in computer science and merchandising.
He married Sandra Jean Ingram March 31, 1972 in Pocatello. They made their home in Pocatello where he worked in sales and delivery for Thompson Distributing. He also worked for McLain’s Service as a general mechanic.
He was a member of the LDS Church. He was active in bowling, enjoyed hunting, fishing, camping and outdoor activities.
He is survived by his wife of Pocatello; one son, John Vearl “Buddy” Hill, and three daughters, Shelley Anne Hill, Angela Ruth and Jennifer Lenn Hill, all of Pocatello; his mother of Malad; one brother, John C. Hill, Malad; and two sisters, Mrs. Veryl (Ethel) Nessen, Howell, Utah, and Mrs. Ted (DaNeil) Loveday, Pocatello. He was preceded in death by his father and one sister.
Funeral services were held Thursday, February 12, 1987 at 1:00 p.m. in the Malad Third Ward Chapel. Bishop Marvin Hess officiated. Casket bearers were Sherrell Wells, Ray Nelson, Carl Nieffenegger, Bob Dericott, Rick Jones and Rex Chamneys.
Honorary bearers were nephews he loved and carried on his shoulders -Jason Cutler, Zane Cutler, John Witt-man, Shawn Nessen, Dan Wittman, Scott Nessen, Wade Nessen and Timothy Loveday.
The family prayer was given by Shawn Nessen, Prelude and Postlude music was played by Myra Jean John. The invocation was offered by David M. Hill.
Tom Colton told his life sketch and Helen Jones, accompanied by Myra Jean John, sung “The Lords Prayer”.
Tim Oyler then spoke and Connie Budge, accompanied by Myra Jean John, sang. Bishop M. Joe Davis spoke and the song “Going Home” was performed by Pres. Foster Ipsen and he was accompanied by Myra Jean John.
Remarks were offered by Bishop Marvin Hess and the benediction was given by Larry Dives.
Concluding services were at the Malad City Cemetery.
LaMar Thomas gave the dedicatory prayer.
