Russell W. Hess

Russell W. Hess, 90, of Blackfoot, Idaho, formerly of Ucon, Idaho, died August 21, 2001, at Ashley Manor in Blackfoot.
He was born June 15, 1911, in Farmington, Utah, to Marion and Gertrude Hess. He grew up and at-tended schools in Malad, Idaho.
He married lone Lunderg on June 15, 1933, in the Logan LDS Temple.
He farmed for most of his life and also worked for Idaho Fresh Pack.
As a member of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints. He held many positions and the office of a High Priest.
He enjoyed pets, western music and spending time with his family.
He is survived by a daughter, Neita Lundquist, Swan Valley, Idaho; two sons, Hal K. Hess, St. George, Utah, and Ken D. Hess, Salt Lake City, Utah; several grandchildren, great-grandchildren, and great-great-grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by his wife, and a son, Kyle D. Hess.
Funeral services were held Saturday, August 25, 2001, at the Ucon LDS First Ward.
Burial was in Fielding Memorial Park under the direction of Wood Funeral Home.
