Curzon, Laura L. Thomas – 07 Jan 1914
POCATELLO, Id. Laura L. Thomas Curzon, 85, a longtime resident of Pocatello, returned to her Heavenly Father, husband and many loved ones on Friday, March 5, 1999.
She was born January 7, 1914 in Malad, Idaho to Joseph T. And Sarah J. Lewis Thomas. She attended schools in Pauline (North Arbon) and Pocatello.
On February 10, 1936 she married Wilford William Curzon in Pocatello. Wilford passed away February 12, 1978.
She was a member of the LDS Church. She loved life and had many friends and good neighbors. We would especially like to thank Thora Brown, Margaret Waylett, Carol Jorgenson and Kim Graham, who were close to her and helped tend to her needs in her last days.
Laura was a member of the Portneuf Grange. She loved to dance and would dance weekly at the Senior Center.
She enjoyed life and liked to travel. She and her husband, Wilford, owned and operated Curzon Coal Co., for many years.
Survivors include her loving niece and nephews, LaWanda H. (Art) Sutton, Sandy, Utah, Lynne R. (Sharron) Howard, Provo, Utah, Norman (Shirley) Davis, Arbon, Idaho. A nephew, Leo V. Howard, preceded Laura in death and his wife, Jolene, lives in Boise. She was also preceded in death by two sisters, Edith L. Howard and Delora L. Davis.
Funeral services will be held Thursday, March 11, 1999 at 11 a.m. at Manning Funeral Chapel-Wheatley Funeral Chapel, 510 N. 12th Ave., with Bishop Albert Lenon of the LDS 22nd Ward officiating. Interment will be in Mountainview Cemetery.
The family will receive friends Wednesday evening, March 10, from 7 p.m. to 8:30 p.m. and Thursday for one hour prior to services at Manning-Wheatley Funeral Chapel.
