Rose Mary Hess, 55, of Malad City, Idaho, passed away Sunday, May 27, 2001, following a brief illness.
She was born December 8, 1945, in Malad, Idaho. She was a daughter of Marion Joseph Hess and Lois Lorraine Price. She was raised and educated in Malad schools. She graduated from Brigham Young University with a degree in Home Economics. She taught school at Leadore, Idaho; Douglas, Arizona; and Wendover, Utah, for 12 years. She worked at Logan Regional Hospital and later retired to home in Malad.
She spent many years with her crafts of sewing, cooking, and painting. Many people benefitted from her many talents. Rose Mary was a loving daughter, sister, and aunt. Her many nieces and nephews loved Aunt Rose.
Rose Mary was preceded in death by her father and mother. She is survived by her brothers and sisters: J. Marvin (Sandra) Hess, Malad; Don Lee Hess, Malad; Kathleen (Ed) Hyde, Smithfield, Utah; and LaReta (Nick) Gugelman, Malad.
Funeral services will be held on Saturday, June 2, 2001, in the Malad Third Ward Church, 400 North 200 West, at 12 noon. Friends and relatives may call at the Horsley Funeral Home, 132 West 300 North, Malad, on Friday, June 1 from 7:00 to 9:00 p.m., and on Saturday, June 2, from 10:30 to 11:30 a.m., prior to services. Burial will be at the Malad City Cemetery.
