Earl ‘Red’ Egbirt Harris

OGDEN – Earl ‘Red’ Egbirt Harris, died Monday, February 16, 1998 at home.

He was born August 8, 1941 in Fairview, Idaho, a son of Vernon J. and Mae Egbirt Harris.

On March 6, 1971, Red married Sue A. Sutton in Elko, Nevada.

He was raised and educated in Preston, Idaho and lived in Downey, Idaho 26 years. He resided in Ogden for the remainder of his life.

Red was a member of the LDS Church.

He served with the U.S. Army for two years and was stationed in Germany.

Red was a drywall contractor for 32 years.

Surviving are his wife of Ogden; one daughter and two sons, Debra Mae Harris, Cedar Grove, Calif.; Dennis Harris, Boise, Idaho; Billy (Loretta) Walker, Ogden, five grandchildren and one great-grandson.

Also surviving are his mother, Mae Harris, Pocatello, Idaho; one brother and three sisters, James (Connie) Harris, Boise, Idaho; Norma (Rex) Bybee, Downey, Idaho; Shirley (Danny) Lowe, California; Charolett (Terrie) Evans, Pocatello, Idaho.

Red was preceded in death by his father, one brother, one sister and two sons.

Funeral services will be held Friday 1 p.m. at Lindquist’s Ogden Mortuary 3408 Washington Blvd.

Friends may call at the mortuary on Thursday from 6 to 8 p.m. and Friday 11:45 a.m. to 12:45 p.m.(?)
