Ruth P. Hansen

Ruth P. Hansen, age 75, of Logan, Utah, formerly of Malad, Idaho, passed away Wednesday, Oct. 27, 1993

She was preceded in death by her husband, Clyde E. Hansen, who died Nov. 4, 1990; an infant son, who died 25, 1939, and four brothers. She is survived by two sons, Darwin C. Hansen and his wife, Ann, of Bountiful, Utah, and D. Jay Hansen and his wife Julie, of Malad, Idaho; two daughters, Kathleen H. Smith and her husband, Gary, of Tigard, Ore., and Becky H. Polson and her husband, Mark, of Rigby, Idaho; 17 grandchildren, 12 great-grandchildren; four sisters, Ola Price of Glendale, Ariz., Ila Tidwell of Ogden, Utah, Valeen Collins of Kirkland, Wash., and Colleen Parker of Millville, Utah, and one brother Elmo Palmer, of Tooele, Utah.

Ruth and Clyde operated a dry farm in southeast Idaho from 1937 through 1990. She was a member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints, and served in many ward and stake positions. She was active in civic affairs, and gave many hours of voluntary service.

She was a wonderful example and a great influence on those around her. She will be missed by all.

Funeral services will be Saturday, Oct. 30, 1993, at noon in the Logan, Utah LDS 43rd Ward Chapel at 1255 N600 E., Logan. Friends may call at the Malad LDS Stake Chapel on Friday, Oct, 29, from 7 p.m. to 9 p.m., 400 N. 200 W., Malad, and on Saturday from 10:30 a.m. at the church in Logan prior to services. Burial will be in the Logan City Cemetery.
