Royal EuVene Halford

Royal EuVene Halford, 82, died Saturday, June 6, 1992, in the Pioneer Care Center, Brigham City of causes incident to age.
He was born February 17, 1910 in Portage, a son of Royal and Erma Evelyn Conley Hartford. He married Martha Hannah Bench McCann June 7, 1947 in Elko Nevada.
Mr. Halford was reared in Portage and graduated from Bear River High School. He had worked on the family farm for Wynn Hansen, U & I Sugar Co., U & I Sugar Canal, and Union Pacific Railroad.
He was a High Priest in the Garland LS Ward where he had served as a Home Teacher. He was willing to help wherever needed.
He was a veteran of World War II, having served I the Air Force.
Surviving are his wife, Garland; step-children, Marc LaVar (Odean) McCann, Smithfield; Rosalye (LaVar) smith, Kearns, Wendell D. (Sharon) McCann, Garland; John E. (Bonnie) McCann, Forth Ogden; 17 step-grandchildren and 20 step0great grandchildren. He is also survived by two brothers, Woodrow and Ada Halford, Manti, Vincent Halford, Preston and 1 sister, Fern and Wendell Hall, Porte. H was preceded in death by 1 step-grandchildren, Darren McCann, four brothers and two sisters.
Funeral services will be held Friday, June 12, 11 a.m. at the Garland Ward Chapel, 140 W. Factory, with Bishop Steve Butler officiating. Friends may call Thursday, 7-9 p.m. and Friday 9:15 to 10:30 a.m. at Rogers and Taylor Funeral Home, 111 N. 100 E. Tremonton.
Military honors will be accorded by Logan American Legion Post #7.
Burial in the Logan City Cemetery.
