Ethel Maud Webster Haley

Ethel Maud Webster Haley, 94, of Malad, died Saturday, February 1, 1992, in the Oneida County Nursing Home.
She was born July 31, 1897, in Darlington, Durham County, England, daughter of Richard George and Betsy Allan Hutchinson Webster. She grew up and was educated in England, and by trade, was a bakress. She married John Haley August 16, 1919, in England, and he died on November 13, 1971.
She and her husband had lived in Hartlepool, where they owned and operated a bakery. In 1953, the family moved to America, moving to Salt Lake City, Utah. She worked there as a lab assistant at the University of Utah Medical Center until her retirement when she was 88 years old.
She was a member of the Catholic Church.
She is survived by two daughters, Beryl Emily Hailey Palmer, Salt Lake City, and Mrs. LaVoy (Elaine Mary) Albechtsen of Lava Hot Springs and Malad; five grandchildren and seven great-grandchildren; and one sister, Mrs. Elaine Short, Salt Lake City. She was preceded in death by two brothers and two sisters.
Mass of Christian Burial was celebrated Tuesday at 11 a.m. at the Benson-Horsley Home with Father Paul Wander, celebrant. Burial was in the Calvary Catholic Cemetery at 3 p.m. in Salt Lake City.
