Edith Atkinson Hadley

WEST WEBER – Edith Atkinson Hadley, 92, passed away Monday, May 21, 2001, at her apartment in Bountiful.
She was born July 21, 1908, in Samaria, Idaho to Frank Arthur and Margaret Davis Hughes Atkinson. She married William Elmer Hadley on March 19, 1930, in the Salt Lake Temple. He preceded her in death on August 17, 2000.
She was raised in Malad and came to Weber County with her family. She attended Weber Academy.
She was a member of the L.D.S. West Weber Ward. She served in many church positions, including Primary, MIA, Sunday School, and Relief Society.
She loved beautiful flowers, quilting, crocheting, reading books, collecting dishes and she was a wonderful cook.
Surviving are two sons, Roy (Shirley) Hadley, Bountiful; D. Blaine (Karma) Hadley, Springville, Utah; one daughter, Carol Annette (Larry) Donaldson, Taylorsville, Utah; 11 grandchildren; 36 great-grandchildren; and eight great-great-grandchildren. Also, surviving are two brothers, Grant Earl (Muriel) Atkin-son. Mesa, AZ; Keith Eugene (Jeanette) Atkinson, Ogden; and one sister-in-law, Myrtle Atkinson, Draper.
She was preceded in death by her husband; parents; five brothers, Frank, William, Annie, Lewis, Jesse, Eugene; two sisters, Annie and Margaret; and a niece, Marion Titus.
Funeral services will be held on Thursday, May 24, 2001, at 11 a.m. at West Weber Ward, 4100 West 900 South, with Bishop Colyn Flinders officiating. Friends may call on Thursday from 10-10:45 a.m. at the West Weber Church. Services under the direction of Myers Mortuary in Ogden.
