Mrs. Nellie Stocking Dies Wednesday
Following an extended illness, Mrs. E*len (Nellie) Morgan Stocking, 73, Died at her home in Malad Wednesday afternoon.
funeral services will be conducted 1 p. m. , Saturday, August 3, at the Malad Third ward by Bishop Hubert Gleed. Friends may call at the family home Friday evening and Saturday until time of the services.
Mrs. Stocking was born July 9, 1884 at Liverpool, England, a daughter of John L. Morgan and Esther Ann Ferry Morgan. She came to Malad with her parents when she was one year old. Reared and educated here, she was married to George Angus Stocking in the Salt Lake City L.D. S. Temple on August 12, 1908 and they have since resided in Malad with the exception of spending the summer months each year at their ranch near Soda Springs.
A member of the L. D. S. Church, Mrs. Stocking held offices in various auxiliary organizations and was a member of the Malad Stake MIA Board superintendency for several years.
Surviving are her husband, Malad; one son and four daughters; Dr. R. A. Stocking, Los Angeles, Calif.; Mrs. Floyd (Hannah) Smart, Butte, Mont.; Mrs. Grant (Mary) Barkdull, Montpelier, Idaho; Mrs. Joe (Lydia) Piscevich, Reno, Nevada; Mrs. Earl (Lorraine) Allen, Malad; 10 grandchildren; also two brothers and three sisters; Edmond Morgan, Malad; Mrs., Mary Empey, Burley; Mrs. Manila Nicholas, Malad; Miss Sarabell Jenkins, Malad; Joseph M. Jenkins, Whitney, California.
