David Kearney Williams, 36, of McCammon, passed away Monday morning, December 18, 1995, from a industrial accident.
He was born October 28, 1959 in Murray, Utah, a son of Kenneth M. and Donna Burmester Williams. His family moved to Downey, Idaho when he was a young boy, where he attended elementary school, and then graduated from Marsh Valley High School.
He married Effie Ann Ware April 3, 1980 in the Logan LDS Temple. They made their home in McCammon for the past 15 years. David was a certified welder, and was employed by Bowen Petroleum as a mechanic and shop foreman. He could repair anything and make it work.
He was a elder in the LDS Church, Primary teacher, teacher’s quorum advisor, home teacher and Blaze Scout leader. He has served a mission to Nova Scotia, Canada from 1979-1980. He was an outdoor enthusiast, and enjoyed hunting, water skiing, snow skiing and riding all-terrain vehicles.
He is survived by his wife Effie, and five daughters, Beverly, Amber, Hope, Abby Jo and Dana, all of McCammon; his parents, Kenneth M. and Donna Williams, Downey, Idaho; mother-and father in-law, Dean and Beverly Wave, Lava Hot Springs, Idaho; three brothers, Collin K. Williams, Eagle River, Alaska, John M. and Leslie Williams, Elko, Nevada, James B. and Gina Williams, Soda Springs, Idaho; four sisters and their husbands, Shawna Lee and Melvin Kirkpatrick, Palmer, Alaska, Lorrey Ann and Richard Baker, Downey, Idaho, Melonie and Rodney Stauffer, Midvale, Utah, Angelyn and Ben Aiken, Columbia, South Carolina; and his grandmother, Frieda B. Perterson, West Jordan, Utah. He was preceded in death by grandparents J. mark Williams and Fred (J.C.) Burmester.
Funeral services will be conducted Saturday, December 23, 1995, at noon in the McCammon LDS Stake Center, with Bishop James S. Howell of the Marsh Creek LDS Ward officiating. The family will receive friends Friday evening Dec. 22 from 7 p.m. Until 9 p.m. At Manning-Wheatley Funeral Chapel, 510 N. 12th Ave., and on Sat from 10:45 a.m. Until 11;45 a.m. At the stake center. Interment will be in the Norton Cemetery in McCammon.
