Jonah Evans (Birth 26 Feb 1838/Death 22 Jan 1897)

Jonah Evans was born February 26, 1838 in Thanwell, Carmarthenshire, Wales. He died in Pleasantview, Oneida, Idaho January 22, 1897 and is buried in the Samaria, Oneida, Idaho Cemetery.

He was the son of Esther Williams and John Evans.

He married Frances Bowen December 3, 1859. She died in 1876.
He married Catherine Deer on June 9, 1877, he then married Jane Morse on December 7, 1882.

He was survived by wife, Catherine and three children: Fannie, Irene and Ethel. Also by wife Jane and six children: Rose, Effie, Edna, Victor, Hazel, and Jonah M. Also seven children by his first wife: Thomas, Jonah B., Lorenzo, William, David, Isaac and Francis.
