Funeral Monday For David H. Price
Funeral services for David H. Price, 67, who died Friday [February 6, 1953] at a Blackfoot hospital after an extended illness, were conducted Monday at 1 p.m. in the St. John chapel. Bishop Melvin Yearsley was in charge.
Service speakers were W. W. Thomas and William Rutter. Prayers were offered by Bishop Yearsley, Weldon Jensen, James Madson and Hilton D. Williams. Musical numbrs[numbers] consisted of songs, Mrs. Helen Jones, Thomas Jones and Keith Evans. Prelude and postlude music was played by Mrs. Merriam Talbot.
Interment was in the St. John cemetery under the direction of the Benson Funeral Service.
Mr. Price was born at Elkhorn Nov. 10, 1885, a son of John R. and Frances Clifford Price. he was reared and educated at Elkhorn and attended the Malad high school. He was a farmer and livestock raiser at Elkhorn most of his adult life.
Survivors include two brothers and two sisters: John R. Price Jr., Lakeview, Oregon; J. D. (Cy) Price, Malad; Mrs. Alice E. Pierson, Lakeview, Ore. and Lillian B. Anderson, Nampa, Idaho.
Among those who came for the funeral were; J. D. Price, Washington D. C. ; John R. Price, Mrs. Alice Pierson, Lakeview, Oregon; Mr. and Mrs. Bob Snell and children, Mrs. Ernest Jones and Children, Boise.
