Rex Oleen Peterson, 56, died July 18, 1995 at his home of cancer.

He was born July 25, 1938 in Tremonton, the son of Ephraim LeRoy and Essie Josephine Sorenson Petersen.

He was reared and educated in Tremonton and attended Bear River High School.

Rex was a truck driver and worked as a mechanic, he also loved to restore old cars. He worked last at Nucor Steel as a pulpit operator.

He is survived by his friend and companion Colleen Hess, Garland; 7 step-children and their spouses, David and Elyse Christensen, Hyrum; Katheryn and Allen Maylen, Clearfield; Ed and Becky Christensen, Christine Christensen, and Mark Christensen, all of Logan; Chad and Stacy Hess of Malad. 15 grandchildren and 2 great-grandchildren.

Also surviving are 1 brother, Durrell, of California and 1 sister, Yvonne, of Odgen.

Memorial services were held Fri July 21 in Tremonton, with Bishop Clyde Sorenson officiating.
