WILLIAM A. BELL
South Ogden – William Arvel Bell, 88, of 3735 Adams died Friday, June, 15, 1984, at the home of a daughter in Riverdale of causes incident to age.
He was born Nov. 18, 1895, in Portage, Utah, a son of Charles William and Elizabeth Sentennial Parkinson Bell.
He married Mary Alberta Jones on June 2, 1920, in Cherry Creek, Idaho. The marriage was later solemnized in the Logan LDS Temple. She died Oct. 18, 1973. He married LaVee Reese on Sept. 4, 1979, in Ogden.
He retired as a packer from the National Supply Depot.
He lived in Cherry Creek and Malad, Idaho until 1941 when he moved to Salt Lake City. He moved to Ogden Utah in 1944.
He was educated at Henderson Creek Idaho.
He was a member of the LDS Church and was a high priest in the Ogden 14th LDS Ward. He was a home teacher in the Ogden 39th Ward.
He was a veteran of World War 1, serving in the U.S. Army. He was a member of the American Legion and Barracks 1011 World War 1 Veterans.
Surviving are his widow of South Ogden; two sons and one daughter, William Arvel Bell Jr., Portage; Devere Dean Bell, Washington Terrace; Mrs. Edis (Ileen) Henderson, Riverdale; 19 grandchildren, 41 great-grandchildren.
Also surviving are two brothers and four sisters, Victor Bell, Delen Bell, Mrs. Bud (May) Richards, Mrs. Vila Facer, Mrs Glen (fay) Lundquist, all of Malad, Idaho; Mrs. Verna Earl Salt Lake City.
Funeral services will be held Monday at 11 a.m. at Lindquist and Sons Colonial Chapel in Ogden with Bishop ..ans Flink of Ogden 14th Ward officiating.
Friends may call at the mortuary Sunday from 6 to 8 p.m. and Monday one hour prior to services.
Interment in Washington Heights Memorial Park. Military honors will be accorded by the American Legion Honor Guard.
