John Reynolds Elcock

ELCOCK, JOHN REYNOLDS, January 12, 1911 – June 3, 1973

Funeral services were conducted Wednesday in Parleys 3rd LDS Ward Chapel in Salt Lake City for John Reynolds Elcock, age 62, Salt Lake City, and former Malad resident, who died Sunday of natural causes.

Mr. Elcock was born January 12, 1911 at Malad, a son of Charles and Julie Gibson Elcock. He married Georgia England, June 16, 1936 and the marriage was later solemnized in the Salt lake LDS Temple.

He was employed as a postal clerk in the Salt Lake City Main Post Office. He was a High Priest in Parleys Third Ward and a veteran of World War II.

Surviving are his widow; sons, John Cory, Vandenburg Air Force Base, CA; Brett Reynolds, Salt lake City; one grandson; sisters and brothers, Mrs. Frank (Jennie) Gehring, Hood River, OR; Mrs. Mont (Zilla) Swenson, Lynn C. Elcock, both of Malad; Seth G. Elcock, Salt Lake City.
