David Hill Jr., 75 of Mission Viejo, California, formerly of Pocatello, died Saturday, February 15, 1997 of an apparent heart.
He was born and reared in St. John, Idaho to David and Charity Wolverton Hill on January 14, 1922. He moved to Pocatello in 1939 to work for the Union Pacific Railroad Store Department, where he worked until he retired in 1982. From 1942-1945 he served in the Army during World War 11.
David married LaRue Deuel Harris in April of 1969. He and LaRue shared a passion for dancing that continued until the time of his death. David loved fishing, hunting with her bird dogs, and kidding around with children of all ages. David was always a gently and patient man; he will be missed by all who knew him.
Survivors include his wife, LaRue, Mission Viejo, California; his step-children, Ronald (Linda)Harris, Pocatello; Bruce (Susan) Harris, Seattle, Washington; and Linda (Melburn) Stocks, Wilmar, Maine; five sisters, Rose Jones, Malad; Monta Cranor, Pocatello; Jenean (Darwin) Raindson, Firth; Ruth Logsdon, Salt Lake City; and Norene (George) Crist, Pocatello; seven grandchildren, nine great-grandchildren; one brother, Clain (Ruth) Hill, Fairbanks, Alaska; and numerous nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his parents, five sisters and one brother.
