PORTAGE, Box Elder County – Funeral services for Mrs. Katherine Arnold Hall, 71, who died Thursday in Ogden of a heart ailment, will be conducted Monday at 1 p.m. in Portage Ward chapel, Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints, by Bishop Ora Johns.

She was born April 18, 1878, in Logan, a daughter of James and Katherine Lighthold Arnold. She was reared in Logan and was married to Charles W. Hall on Jan. 3, 1900, in the Logan Temple. The couple made their home in Portage and Mr. Hall died March 21, 1946.

Active in the Church, Mrs. Hall had been secretary of Portage Relief Society for 34 years, a Relief Society teacher for many years and a teacher in Primary, Mutual and Sunday School.

She was registrar of vital statistics in Portage for many years.

Survivors include four sons and two daughters, G. Ellery Hall, Garland, Box Elder County; C.A. and Arnold Hall, Brigham City; Frank Hall, Ogden; Mrs. Geneva Johns and Mrs. Cora McCarry, Portage; 18 grandchildren, and 19 great-grandchildren.

Friends may call at the home of Mrs. Johns, Portage, Sunday from 4 to 9 p.m., and Monday from 10 a.m. to time of services.

Burial in Portage Cemetery will be directed by Rogers Mortuary of Tremonton.
