GROTE, RAYMOND LEE, (?) – Graveside September 3, 2004

Raymond “Ray” Lee Grote, 66, of Downey, passed away at his home in Downey. He was born in Holdrige, Nebraska, the son of Henry and Ferne Wagner Grote.

Ray was aa member of the American Legion. He enjoyed hunting, fishing and doing taxidermy.

He is survived by his mother, Ferne Hunt, Roseburg, Oregon; two sons and one daughter, Raymond Grote, Jr., of Garland, Utah, Brent and Trina Grote of Malad, Idaho, and Jennifer Grote of Las Vegas, Nevada. He is also survived by six grandchildren, one brother and two sisters.

Graveside services were held September 3, 2004 at the Malad City Cemetery. Services are under the direction of Horsley Funeral Home.
