
FRY, MABEL CHARLOTTA HEDSTROM, May 5, 1893 – December 8, 1971
Mrs. Mabel Charlotta Hedstrom Fry, age 78, died Wednesday, December 8th at Valley Hospital, Tremonton, of a heart ailment shortly after noon.
Mrs. Fry was born May 5, 1893 at Uhling, West Virginia, a daughter of John and Margaret Berg Hedstrom. The family moved to the Daniels area in 1903 where they homesteaded a farm. She received her education in Daniels schools and on March 31, 1936 was married to Arthur J. Fry at Daniels. They operated a farm in West Elkhorn until their retirement several years ago when they moved to Malad. Mrs. Fry attended the United Presbyterian Church, Malad.
Among her survivors are her husband, Malad; a daughter, Mrs. Richard (Fern) Van Wey, Fullerton, CA; a son, George, Ogden; four grandsons and two granddaughters, and a brother-in-law, Harry, who makes his home with them.
Funeral arrangements will be announced by Benson Funeral Home. The Rev. Richard B. Goodier will be in charge of the services. Special music included two selections by a vocal quartet and a vocal solo by Helen E. Jones. Mrs. Marguerite Ruegsegger was the pianist. Don Hornaday offered the family prayer and Bishop Myron T. Jones, Jr., read the obituary.
Casket bearers were Alfred Fry, Cecil Fry, John Fry, Charles Buehler, Robert Hess and Grant Jones. Flowers were arranged by United Presbyterian Women and family friends. Burial at Malad City Cemetery was directed by Benson Funeral Home.
