William Sheldon Lish

(February 18, 1929 – August 21, 2015) 

William Sheldon Lish, 86, Arimo, Idaho passed away peacefully Friday August 21st at the home of his son, Bart Lish, surrounded by his loving family. “Willie” was born February 18, 1929 in Pocatello, Idaho to Jack and Estella Smith Lish. He married the love of his life Lois Cutler on November 10, 1948 in Tyhee, Idaho. Their marriage was later solemnized in the Idaho Falls Temple on February 8, 1964. Willie attended Pocatello High School and Idaho State University. He enjoyed his occupation as a carpenter and was eager to share his talents with others. One of his favorite accomplishments was the columns on Red Hill which he orchestrated and built. He was a member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints. He served in many positions one of his favorites was working in the scouting program. Willie is survived by loving wife Lois Cutler Lish (Arimo) daughters, Pam and Bill Randall,(McCammon) Sherry and John Howell (McCammon) Foster-daughter Valerie and Arnie Red Elk Schurz (Arizona) Sons, Gene and Debby Lish (Rock Springs, WY), Bart and Lori Lish(Chubbuck), Kurt and Teresa Lish (Salt Lake City, UT). 21 Grandchildren, 49 Great Grandchildren and 6 Great- Great Grandchildren. Brothers, Lynn and Pat Lish, Larry and Nancy Lish, Butch and Mavis Lish Sister, Reva and Mac Anderson. Preceded in death by his parents Jack and Estella Lish and his beloved son Kelly Lish and grandson Rex Romrell his sisters Vonda Gibson and Freda Bendorf. We would like to thank the caring, loving staff at Encompass home health and hospice for their amazing love and care during this difficult time.

The Lish Family. Funeral services will be held on Thursday, August 27 at 12 noon in the Arimo LDS Stake Chapel. Friends may visit with the family at Horsley’s Marsh Valley Funeral Home, 570 N. Meadowview Dr. in Arimo on Wednesday evening from 6:00-8:00 p.m. and on Thursday from 10:30-11:45 a.m. at the church prior to the service. Burial will follow in the Norton Cemetery.
