William Moroni Brown

OGDEN, Ut- Beloved husband, father, and grandfather, William (Bill) Moroni Brown, 82, passed away Saturday, May 6, 2000, at McKay-Dee Hospital of Lymphocytic Leukemia.
He was born January 2, 1918, in Pleasant View Idaho a son of Henry Columbus and Pearl Duncan Brown. He attended school in Malad, Idaho, University of Moscow Idaho and University of Utah.
He was a veteran of WW II in the Army serving in the paratroopers division.
On July 5, 1945, he married Norma Taylor in the Logan Temple.
Bill managed meat markets for American Food, May Fair, and K Mart. He retired from Smith’s in 1980.
Bill was a member of the LDS Canyon View 2nd Ward, serving as secretary of the High Priests and working in the extraction program as a home teacher.
He enjoyed his hobbies, playing the organ and golfing with his friends. Bill loved watching sports on T.V., football, basketball, baseball, and golf. He was truly a man for all seasons.
He was preceded in death by his parents and 7 brothers and sisters.
He is survived by his wife, Norma, 3 sons and 2 daughters, Richard T. (Lanna) Brown, Fruit Heights; Marilou (Gary) Wolthius, North Ogden; Mark (Sheryl) Brown, Lake Forrest, CA; Becky (Randy) Wiser, Fruit Heights; William K. (Peggy) Brown, South Weber, and 20 grandchildren.
Funeral Services will be held on Wednesday, May 10, 2000, 11:00 a.m. at the Canyon View 2nd Ward, 9th Harrison Blvd, Ogden. Friends and family may call on Tuesday evening from 6:00 to 8:00 p.m. at Leavitt’s Mortuary, 836 36th Street, Ogden, and Wednesday morning at the Ward from 9:45 to 10:45 prior to services.
Interment, Washington Heights Memorial Park.
