William Kenneth Capell

William “Kenneth” Capell, 94, son of Edward Seth Capell and Eliza Cordelia Gunter and Husband of Violet Knighton, passed away Tuesday June 14, 2016 in his home in Arimo, Idaho. Kenneth was born July 10, 1921 in Arimo. He was raised in Hawkins Basin. When working in Arimo he found his sweetheart Violet. They were married in the Salt Lake Temple February 9, 1950. They stayed in Arimo where they raised their family. Kenneth was an extremely hard worker. He was a farmer and also worked for the School District as a Mechanic. He served his country during WWII. After retiring from work, he and his wife Violet served 8 years as workers in the Logan temple. Kenneth loved to spend time with his family. He enjoyed working in the garden, hunting and fishing. He was a handy man. He built the house he lived in for 62 years, where he and his sweet Violet raised their 6 children, and where he lived until he died. He was also the first person to volunteer for any service project. Kenneth is survived by his daughters Pamela (Clair) Monson, Jeneane (Rodney) Boehme; sons Glade (Sherry) Capell, Raymond (Cynthia) Capell, Kendal (Blyss) Capell and Sheldon (Suzanne) Capell; 28 grandchildren and 47 great grandchildren. He is also survived by one sister Lois Capell Hall. Kenneth is preceded in death by his wife, parents and ten siblings. Funeral services will be held on Saturday July 18 at 11am in the Arimo Idaho LDS Stake center. Friends may visit with the family on Friday evening from 7-8pm at Marsh Valley Funeral Home, 570 N. Meadowview Drive. Friends may also visit from 9:30-10:45am at the church prior to the funeral service. Interment will take place after the funeral service in the Arimo Idaho Cemetery.
