Warren Leland Barry

Blackfoot – Warren Leland Barry, 87, of Blackfoot, died Jan. 20, 1993, at the Veterans Care Center in Pocatello of a heart attack.

He was born Oct. 10, 1905, at Fruita, Colo., to James and Julia Robbins Barry. He received his education in the Lavaside School near Firth. He also lived in Fort Hall and Pocatello. He served in the U.S. Army in the Philippine Islands during World War II.

He was employed by Union Pacific Railroad and also worked in construction.

He was a former member of the Odd Fellows Lodge. He enjoyed gardening, yard work and spending time with his nieces and nephews.

Survivors include a brother and two sisters, Kenneth Barry of Redding, Calif., Rilla Hughes of Malad and Vivian Christensen of Fort Hall. He was preceded in death by two sisters and a brother.

Funeral services will be at 11 a.m. Saturday at Hill-Sandberg Funeral Home in Blackfoot. The family will visit with friends for one hour before services at the funeral home. Burial will be in Firth Cemetery.
