Vernon Clark “Bud” Anderson

Bud Anderson dies Dec. 30, 1980

Vernon Clark “Bud” Anderson, 68, Samaria, died Tuesday, December 30, 1980,
at Oneida County Hospital.

He was born Feb. 22, 1912, at Snowville, Utah, to Arnold and Lorraine Harris Anderson.

He married Mary Lush April 1, 1939, in Ogden. They were later divorced. He attended schools in Snowville and Ogden. He was a farmer, sheep man and construction worker. He lived in Snowville, Ogden and Malad and for the past several years had lived in Samaria. He was a member of the LDS Church.

Survivors include two sons, Clark V. Anderson and Dale Lon Anderson, both of Las Vegas, Nev.; one daughter, Mrs. Steve (Bernice) Christenson, LaVerkin, Utah; nine grandchildren; and one sister Mrs. Ellis G. (Faye) Smith, Ogden.

Funeral services were held Friday, Jan. 2, 1981 at the Benson-Horsley Mortuary with Bishop Melvin Joe Davis, officiating. Burial was in the Samaria Cemetery with Dedicatory Prayer by Thomas Lusk. Casket Bearers: Ray Eliason, Lew Waldron, Jeff Showell, Don Eliason, Bland Williams, Vernon Jensen and Thomas Lusk.
