Vernal Kendal Robbins, Sr.

SALT LAKE CITY, UT — Vernal Kendal Robbins, 63, of Salt Lake City, Utah, passed away Monday, June 22, 1998, at St. Mark’s Hospital.
He was born June 12, 1935, in Ogden, Utah, the oldest child of Kendal Jackson and Helen Wilson Robbins. He attended grammar school in Stone, Idaho, and graduated from Bear River High School, in Tremonton, Utah.
After high school, he lived in Fielding, Utah, and Stone, Idaho. He married Betty Kay Hughes, from Samaria, Idaho, in the Logan L.D.S. Temple. They had two children: Cindy KaLene and Vernal Kyle. They were divorced. He later married Linda and had two children: Kim and Barry. They were divorced. He married Mary Ann Larsen and was blessed with twin boys, Shawn and Shane. They were divorced, and he married Martha Jacobsen, and they had one son, Michael.
He worked at K.D.J. Steel, Utah Transit Authority and Pepsi Company in Salt Lake City.
He was always honest and hardworking, had a very big heart and cultivated many friendships. He loved the wide open country and working with horses.
He was preceded in death by his wife Martha, his parents, and one sister, Betty. He is survived by five sons: Vernal Kyle, of Malad; Barry, of California; Shawn and Shane, Washington State; and Michael, of Salt Lake City, Utah. two daughters: Cindy KaLene (Steve) Ward, of Malad, and Kim Christiansen, of Salt Lake City. Survivors also include two brothers: Larry Robbins, of Olalla, Washington; and Melvin Robbins, Renton, Washington; and eight sisters: Lucille Hurst, Vancouver, Washington; Alice Robbins, Snowville, Utah; Patricia White, Palm Desert, California; Janet Marble, Deweyville, Utah; C.J. (Caroline) Petersen, Tremonton, Utah; Dorothy Meyers, Evanston, Wyoming; Violet Camire, Corinne, Utah; Genevie Allen, Collinston, Utah; eight grandchildren and three step-grandchildren.
Graveside services was held Saturday, June 27, at 10:00 a.m. at the Logan Utah Cemetery.
