Verna C. Earl

SALT LAKE CITY –   101, died may 13, 2005, in Sandy, Utah, surrounded by loving family. Born April 11, 1904, in Malad City, Idaho, to Charles William and Elizabeth Centenial Bell. She was preceded in death by all nine of her brothers and sisters: Arvel, Lizzie, Nora, May, Victor, Bila, Lenna, Fay, and Delen. She looked forward to being reunited with them in the afterlife.

Verna possessed a quiet character of strength and dignity. She was proud of her position of many years as a hairdresser at Auerbachs, The Paris Co. and ZCMI in Salt Lake.

Her sense of humor will live forever in the one-liners and catch phrases we use today.

Married Carlos A. Evans with whom she had one son, Max C. Evans (1930-1992). Married Hugh Earl, later divorced. Survived by son, Clyde H. Earl (wife Sheri) 4 grandchildren and seven great-grandchildren.

Graveside services will be Tuesday, May 17, 2005, at 1 p.m. At the Malad City Cemetery. Friends and family may call at the Horsley Funeral Home, 132 W. 300 N. Malad, Idaho, on Tuesday from noon to 12:45.
