Vern passed away in Pocatello, ID on Tuesday February 26, 2019. He was born to George Hilbert Dille and Laura Christensen on April 2, 1932 in Wendell, ID. He is the oldest of 7 children. He married Barbara Mary Hardcastle on June 17, 1952 in the Idaho Falls Temple. He worked for the Railroad for 2 Years and worked on the farm in Gooding until 1961. After moving to Pocatello he started work at J.R. Simplot. He was there for 35 years until he retired. He left Pocatello and made his home in Downey in 1977. Where he lived for 40 years, and was very active in the Scouts.

He was the proud father of 8 children. Daryl (Wife Connie) Dille, Becky (Husband Joseph) Stein, Luanne (Husband Shane) Rowe, Laura “Lollie” (Husband Allen) Dillsworth, Kyle (Wife Sharon) Dille, Karen (Husband Richard) Coleman, Dawn (Husband Scott) Phillips and Dale Dille. He was loved by 30 grandchildren, 20 Great-Grandchildren, and 2 Great-Great-Children.

He is preceded in death by his parents George Dille and Laura Christensen, brother Doyle Dille, Daughter Laura Dillsworth, and Great-Grandson David Shane Prather.

Funeral services will be held on Tuesday, March 5 at 2 p.m. in the Downey LDS Ward Chapel. Friends may visit with the family at the church from 1-1:145 p.m. prior to the services. Burial will follow in the Downey Cemetery.
