Graveside rites held for Verl Zundel
Graveside rites were conducted here Monday for Verl Zundel, age 65, who died March 20th in the Veterans’ Hospital, Reno, of natural causes.
Eulogy was given by Garth Sweeten; family prayer, Dee Zundel, and dedicatory prayer, Dwight Zundel Jr. Military rites and honor guard were provided by American Legion Ernest W. Jones Post No. 65.
Mr. Zundel was born at Woodruff, Idaho Aug. 31, 1908, a son of Issac David and Julia Bell Hall Zundel. He was educated in Malad schools and was a veteran of World War II, serving in England. He had been employed by a railroad, was a construction worker and a farmer.
He married Mary W. Thomas and they were later divorced.
Surviving are three sons, Dick T., Soda Springs; Verlin Thomas, Fairbanks, Alaska; David D., Orofino; eight grandchildren; three brothers, Bill, Sparks, Nevada, Dwight, Pocatello; Afton, Lake Oswego, Oregon; four sisters, Mrs. Hugh (Sarah) Clark, Mrs. Ernest (Jane) Williams, Malad; Verga Jones, Kearns, Utah; Mrs. Bill (Gladys) Barnes, Pocatello.
