Verdgil Moss Crow Jr

Verdgil Moss Crow Jr. was born on February 15, 1953 in Ogden Utah to Verdgil Moss Crow Sr. and Gertrude Mary Clifford. Verdgil passed away on Friday, April 27, 2018 in the comfort of his home in Malad Idaho, surrounded by his loving family.

Verdgil was raised on Guantanamo Bay Naval Base, Cuba. He graduated from Ben Lomond High School and Weber State College.

Verdgil met and later married his loving wife Darlyne Dawn (Call) Crow and made their home in Ogden Utah. He retired from Brigham City Corporation and the United States Air Force Reserves. Verdgil and Darlyne purchased land on the Malad summit where he spent many years working to fulfill their dream home. He was a member of the L.D.S. church and held numerous callings. He enjoyed volunteering at the McCammon food bank and being president of the Raccoon club ham radio. He was very passionate about his fur babies and all animals.

Verdgil was a jack of all trades, willing to help anyone. He was an inspiration to all who knew him and will be deeply missed.

Verdgil is survived by his wife Darlyne Dawn (Call) Crow, his sister Linda (Mike) Brady, his 4 children Kristy Marie (Brian) Patterson, Tonya Rochelle (John) Jarden, Tiffany Nicole Crow, Brandon Verdgil (Amber) Crow, 13 beautiful grandchildren and numerous nieces and nephews.

Verdgil was preceded in death by 2 sisters Mary Margarate Crow, Patsie Lou (Crow) Elliott and his brother Claude Edwin Crow.

The family would like to extend our sincere thanks to the many doctors and nurses at the Huntsman cancer hospital, St. Josephs Villa and Dr. Mckennan Thurston.

Funeral services will be held on Friday, May 4 at 11 a.m. at the 7th Ward Chapel. A viewing will be held at the Horsley Funeral Home Thursday from 6-8 p.m. and Friday from 9:30-10:30 a.m. Burial will follow in the Hooper Cemetery. Flowers may be sent to the Horsley Funeral Home
