Thomas William Dudley

POCATELLO – Thomas William Dudley, 79, beloved husband, father, grandfather and friend, passed away March 1, 2002 in Sun City, AZ.

He was born march 25, 1922 in Elkhorn, ID to Joseph Dudley and Barbara Davis Dudley. He was the youngest of five sons. He attended school in Malad, ID. He served in the US Army during World War II, stationed in the Pacific Theater. After his honorable discharge from the Army, he pursued a very successful career in the world of construction. His career of over 40 years had many highlights including owning and operating his own paving company and serving as general manager for Western States Equipment Company where he retired in 1984.

He married the love of his life, Ilean Raymond on March 23, 1957. They lived throughout Idaho, Washington, Oregon, California and Arizona.

He loved the outdoors and had many hobbies including snowmobiling, camping and golfing, to name a few. Tom and Ilean enjoyed many years with family and friends while building and living in their cabin in Island Park, ID.

Tom is survived by his wife, Ilean Dudley; five daughters, Sandy Carter (Jim) of Colorado “Springs, CO; Janice Vann of Houston, TX; Debbie Whittaker (Curt) of Pocatello; Barbara Horner (Dan) of Rathdrum, ID; DeeAnna Hobbs (Kelly) of Pocatello; three sons, Larry Dudley (Kathy) of Clover, CA; Thomas Dudley (Laura) of Bellview, ID; Jeff Dudley of Inkom; 24 grandchildren; 13 great grandchildren and one great-great grandchild. He is survived by one sibling, Wayne Dudley (Gail) of Salt Lake City, UT. He was preceded in death by his mother and father, three brothers and one granddaughter.

Funeral services were held in Sun City, AZ. A memorial service is scheduled for Pocatello in May of 2002, to be announced.
