Thomas Stokes, 71, of Stone, passed away at his home of Heart Failure, Friday, June 26, 1998.
He was born January 1, 1927 in Snowville, Utah, a son of William Leroy and Edith Mills Stokes and received his education in Black Pine and Snowville. He married Mable Barnes, April 20, 1946 and they were later divorced.
For many years Tom worked in Logging and Construction in various areas in Idaho and for the past several years resided in Snowville and Stone.
He is survived by 3 sons; Tom (Becky) of Bend, Oregon; Paul (Pat) of Salmon, Idaho; Ted (Elaine) of Ogden, Utah; one Daughter; Dixie (Randy) Capps of Salmon, Idaho; 10 grandchildren and 10 great grandchildren; 4 brothers; Jay (Lois) of Snowville, Utah; Jim of Malad, Idaho; Ferron (Marilyn) of Garland, Utah; Boyd (Maureen) of Malad, Idaho. He was preceded in death by his parents and one brother; Deloy Stokes.
Funeral services were held Tuesday in the Curley LDS Ward Chapel in Snowville, with Bishop David Showell, officiating. Arrangements are by the Benson-Horsley Funeral Home, Malad
