Thomas Lyman Evans

Thomas Lyman Evans, 82, of Rockford, Idaho died Feb 4, 1993, at the Phoenix General Hospital after suffering a stroke.

He was born Nov. 15,1910, at Samaria to David Asa and Emeline Mecham Evans. He was educated at Stone and Samaria.

He married Stella Price Feb. 2, 1931, in Pocatello, Idaho. Their marriage was solemnized in the Logan, Utah LDS Temple Oct. 2, 1952.

He was active in the LDS Church, serving an LDS Mission to Kauai, Hawaii. He farmed in Wapello and in Rockford. He played many musical instruments, including the piano and accordion.

He is survived by his wife of Thomas; three sons, Frank Evans of Thomas, LuDell Evans of Blackfoot and Dan Evans of Rockford; one daughter, Clodell Evans Rowe of Mesa, Ariz.;
two brothers, Thain Evans of Wapello and Roy Evans of Bountiful, Utah; one sister, Lucille Evans Teagarden of Salt Lake City; one stepbrother, Lorin Daniels of Malad; one stepsister, Stella Daniels Budge of Malad; 18 grandchildren and 32 great-grand-children. He was preceded in death by a daughter, two brothers, one sister, one stepbrother and two stepsisters.

Funeral services will be conducted Monday at 1 p.m. at the Thomas LDS Church. The family will meet with friends Sunday from 7 to 9 p,m, at the Hill-Sandberg Funeral Home and on Monday for one hour before the services at the church. Burial will be in the Riverside-Thomas Cemetery.
