Theda Waldron Smith, 78, passed away February 8, 1998, at Meridian, Idaho, following a valiant struggle with cancer.
Born November 14, 1919, in Gwenford, Idaho, to Thomas John and Hannah Griffiths Waldron, Theda grew up and was educated in Malad. She married Ralph W. Smith on June 2, 1942, in the Salt Lake City LDS Temple.
An active member of the LDS Church, Theda served faithfully in various callings throughout her life. She was a devoted wife and wonderful mother of four children.
Theda is survived by her husband, Ralph, residing in Meridian; three sons: Craig (wife, Kitty) of Afton, Wyoming; Brian (wife, Kris) San Jose, California; Randall in Meridian; and one daughter, Sharla (husband, Mike) Farrell of Meridian; fifteen grandchildren; two great-grandchildren; one sister, Neva Taylor of St. George, Utah; three brothers, Thayne Waldron of Brookings, Oregon; Ludell of Twin Falls, Idaho; and Terry of Bountiful, Utah.
She was preceded in death by her parents and one brother, Glen Waldron.
Funeral services will be held Thursday, February 12 at 1:00 p.m. at the Meridian LDS Stake Center. A grave side service will be held at the Samaria, Idaho Cemetery at noon Friday, February 13. Friends may call from 11:00 -11:45 a.m. at the Benson-Horsley Funeral Home, 132 West 300 North, Malad, Idaho.
