Terry Kay Davis

Terry Kay Davis, 58 of Idaho Falls, died August 30, 1998, at Eastern Idaho Regional Medical Center of complications following surgery.

He was born May 24, 1940, at Malad, the son of Griffeth Davis and Vernal Mae Caldwell Davis. He grew up in Malad and attended schools here, graduating from Malad High School. He served in the U.S. Navy from 1958 to 1962 aboard the aircraft carrier USS Ranger. He moved to Idaho Falls 34 years ago.

He married Jacqueline Kay Wehnes on June 10, 1966, at Malad and they were later divorced. He worked as Assistant Manager at the Safeway Store for many years and later worked for Stokes Grocery Store, Triple S Stores, and Wright Stop in Idaho Falls.

He was a member of the LDS Church. He enjoyed watching his sons participate in high school wrestling, horse racing, baseball, and softball.

Surviving are: two sons, Scott (wife Leslee) Davis, Idaho Falls; Craig (wife Jennifer) Davis, Las Vegas, Nevada; one daughter, Becky (husband, Jon) Peirsol, Idaho Falls, Idaho; two brothers, Boyd C. Davis,Willard, Utah; John R. Davis, Rigby, Idaho; and seven sisters, Erma Price, Emily Sheridan, Pearl Tolbert and Marlene Thomas, Malad, Idaho; JoAnn Williams, Honolulu, Hawaii; Rosalie Browning, Seattle, Washington; and Deanna Johnson, Sacramento, California. He has three grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his parents and two brothers.

Graveside services will be held Friday, September 4, at 11:00 a.m.at the Idaho Falls LDS 21st Ward, 1155 E. 1st St., with Bishop Frank Murdock officiating. Graveside services will be held at the Malad City Cemetery at 3:00 p.m. that day with military rites accorded by Ernest W. Jones Post #65 of the American Legion.

The family will visit with friends on Thursday from 7:00 to 8:30 p.m. at Wood Funeral Home, 273 North Ridge Avenue, Idaho Falls, where brief services will follow visitation.
