Terrell (Tud) L. Orgill

Terrell (Tud) L. Orgill passed away on Sunday, February 2, 2014, at the Franklin County Medical Center. He was born on April 21, 1925, to William LeRoy and Pearl Orgill in McCammon. Terrell spent his early years in McCammon and Fairfield, Id. The family moved back to McCammon when he was 9 years old. He graduated from McCammon High School in 1942 and joined the Navy shortly afterward. He served in the Pacific theatre during WWII. Terrell married LaNell Coffin on December 24, 1946. They were blessed with 2 daughters and one son. He worked at the Monsanto plant for a time, then resumed his career as a carpenter. He became an excellent cabinet maker, and he helped build many homes in the Pocatello area and his own home in Arimo. He loved to hunt and fish, and especially enjoyed his long rides with Debbie and Steve. He taught his family to love the outdoors and appreciate the beauties of nature. He also taught them to be honest and fair in all their dealings with others. Terrell was preceded in death by his wife, LaNell, his parents and sisters, Lorraine Gillenwater and Joan Treasure. He is survived by his children, Terri (Neil) Christensen – Arimo, Rex (Brenda) Orgill – Blackfoot, and Debbie (Steve) Christensen – Arimo; his brothers, Ike (DeVon) Orgill, Russell (Linda) Orgill, Larry (Carol) Orgill, all of McCammon and brother-in-law, David Treasure, Pocatello, 10 grandchildren, 31 great-grandchildren, and 5 great-great-grandchildren. Funeral services will be held on Friday, February 7 at 12 noon in the Arimo LDS Stake Center. Friends may visit with the family on Thursday evening from 7:00-8:00 p.m. at the church and again from 10:30-11:45 a.m. prior to the services. Arrangements are under the care and direction of Horsley’s Marsh Valley Funeral Home.
