Susan Willie Leavitt

Susan Willie Leavitt, 61, of Malad, Idaho, passed away Thursday, November 12, 2015, at the Huntsman Cancer Institute in Salt Lake City surrounded by her family. Susan was born July 13th, 1954 in Logan, Utah. She was raised in Hyrum, Utah and Arbon Valley, Idaho. She graduated from Malad High School. Susan married the love of her life, Eric John Leavitt on September 22, 1972. Their marriage was later solemnized in the Logan temple. They made their home in Malad and farmed side by side in St. John. Sue loved the country and chose to live life to the fullest. All of her family including siblings, children, grandchildren, nieces, and nephews are the recipients of her unconditional love. Sue loved to spend quality time with them crafting, singing, playing games, camping, snowmobiling, 4 wheeling and exploring. She is survived by her husband Eric John Leavitt of 43 years. Children; Mary Sue, (Todd) Thomas; JoLynn, (Jason) Irick; Lance J, (Katharine) Leavitt; Erica, (Dana) Christensen. Siblings Don (Nancy) Willie; Bill, (Karla) Miles; Debra Derrick, Leisa, (Clayne) Gibbs; Sondra, (Marvin) Ekstrom; 11 grandchildren, with an addition of a baby boy expected in March, and one great-grandchild. She was preceded in death by her parents James Beach and Gwena Lee Andersen Willie and her in in-laws John and Lillian Leavitt. Funeral services will be held on Tuesday, November 17 at 12 noon in the Malad LDS 3rd Ward Chapel, 400 N. 200 W. Friends may visit with the family at the church Monday evening from 6:00-8:00 p.m. and on Tuesday morning from 10:30-11:45 a.m. prior to the service
