Steven Kent Davis

Steven Kent Davis, 44, Arbon, Idaho, passed away Thursday, April 11, 1996, in Arbon.

He was born Feb. 14, 1952, in Pocatello to Norman and Shirley Schild Davis. His entire life was spent in Arbon Valley, except the school months. He attended Tyhee Elementary School, and graduated from Highland High School in 1970.

He was engaged in farming and ranching with his parents. The highlights of his life was the time spent with his nieces and nephews, and helping young people with their horses and 4-H Calves.

He touched many lives with his “Men and Boys Only” summer roundups. He was a “hero” to his nieces, nephews and the many young people through the years.

He served on the Arbon Cemetery Board. He helped with the 4-H spring fairs in American Falls. He enjoyed reading and writing cowboy poetry, and was an avid basketball fan.

He is survived by his parents, of Arbon; a sister, Kathy and Doug Alley, and a brother, Brian and Trinette Davis; six nieces and four nephews, of Pocatello. He was preceded in death by his grandparents. Ruth and Henry Schild and Orval and Delora Davis.

He will be missed by many.

The funeral services will be conducted Tuesday, April 16, 1996, at the Pocatello LDS Stake Center, 655 South Grant Ave., with President Steve Lusk of the Arbon LDS Branch officiating. The family will meet with friends Monday evening, April 15, from 7 p.m. until 9 p.m. at Manning Wheatley Funeral Chapel, 510 N. 12th Ave., and on Tuesday for one hour prior to the services at the church. Interment will be in the Arbon Cemetery.
