Steven Duane Archibald

Steven Duane Archibald, 51, of 256 North 11th Avenue, passed away Sunday morning, May 19, 1991, in a local health care center following an illness.

He was born August 25, 1939, at Garland, Utah, the son of Duane W. and Nettie Marie Hunsaker Archibald.

He attended Garland schools, and graduated from Bear River High School in 1958.

On October 25, 1958, he married Margaret Ann “Peggy” Facer at Onyx. They made their home at Burley for a short time prior to moving to Pocatello.

Mr. Archibald was employed with Hamilton and Voeller Surveying Company, and later with Group W Cable TV.

He was a member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints, and enjoyed camping, fishing, hunting, reloading rifles and especially his dog, “Rusty.”

Survivors include his wife, of Pocatello; his father, of Garland, Utah; four brothers and sisters-in-law, Dr. Lyle H. and Rosalyn Archibald, Ogden, Utah, Hal V. and Becky Archibald, California, Scott T. Archibald, Tremonton, Utah and Paul B. and Sherri Archibald, Garland, Utah; and two sisters and brothers-in-law, Renee and Don Coziar, Ogden, Utah, and Susan and John Ben Iverson, Boise, Idaho.

His mother preceded him in death on December 18, 1990.

Graveside services will be conducted Wednesday, May 22, 1991, at noon at the Garland, Utah, Cemetery, with Duane W. Archibald officiating. The family will receive friends at Manning Funeral Chapel on Tuesday evening from 6 p.m. until 8 p.m.
