Sheila Mae (Reisner) Peterson

Sheila Mae (Reisner) Peterson passed away peacefully at home with her family on February 26, 2020 at the age of 72. Sheila was born to Verda Lavonie Owen Raburn and Huntley Sidney Richardson on February 22, 1948 at the White shield home for unwed mothers in Portland, Oregon. Soon after her birth, Sheila was taken in by Wilford and Thelma Reisner of Virginia, Idaho, who were able to officially adopt Sheila when she was four years old.

Shortly after graduating high school, Sheila married James Michael Ramey and had seven children, which she loved very much. Sheila truly enjoyed being a homemaker and raising her family. Later in life, Sheila fell in loving with playing guitar, being a spiritual leader to troubled youth, photography, and playing with her grandchildren, who she treasured more than anything.

Sheila was preceded in death by her parents Wilford and Thelma; brother Neil Reisner; sisters Polly Reyes, Janice Maxfield, and Fairy Jane Reisner; son John Byron Ramey; and grandson Johnathan Kurt Ramey.

Sheila is survived by her brothers Norman (Barbara) Reisner of Pocatello; Dale Raburn of Pocatello; Leonard (Jaynee) Raburn of American Falls; sisters Deborah Raburn of American Falls; Patty Orona of American Falls; children Phil Ramey of Billings; Tammy Ramey of Eugene; Ginger (Ramey) Latta of Eugene; James (Tiffany) Ramey of Idaho Falls; Dan (Katrina) Ramey of Malta; Tish Ramey of Eugene; grandchildren Stephanie, Tristen, Justin, Breann (Camren), Levi, Wendy, MaKenzie, Kurt, Exko, Jaydence, River, and ShaiLynn; great-grandchild Naudika, Hennessii, and Camden.

Services for Sheila will be held on Tuesday, March 10, 2020. Family and friends are asked to gather at Horsley Marsh Valley Funeral Home in Arimo, Idaho at 10:00 am., and will proceed to Marsh Center Cemetery at approximately 11:00 am for a graveside service. Family will gather afterwards at the Virginia Ward in Virginia, Idaho to celebrate Sheila’s Life.
