Shauna was born September 5, 1958 to Carole and Paul Semrad and is the oldest of 3 children. She was later sealed to her parents in the Logan LDS Temple. She was educated in Malad City schools where she was active in the Malad Junior Posse and was a High School Dragonette. Shauna graduated MHS in 1976. Shortly after her graduation she married Brent Madson also from Malad City. They moved to Soda Springs, Id to start and raise their family. 11 years and 5 kids later their marriage ended in divorce. Shauna then moved to Logan, UT where she received an accounting education and started work at a local accounting firm. She worked in accounting until her 3rd son was born in 1993. She worked for Utah State University for 17 years where she found her love for books while working at the USU Bookstore. In fact, she loved books so much she had her own bookstore at her home. Some of her favorite authors include, Danielle Steel, Nicholas Sparks, Nora Roberts and she had almost every single book from the LDS Church. Shauna’s love for the gospel and true testimony was a great example to us all. She had a very dedicated and loyal love her entire life for the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter day Saints. She enjoyed playing the piano in church every Sunday and even had the opportunity to play the organ in sacrament meeting several times. She really loved music and sitting at her piano with her children and grandchildren. Shauna loved crocheting when she wasn’t reading. Shauna is survived by her children Heather Lopez (Logan), Corrie (Jon) Wolford of Paradise, UT, Joshua Madson (Blackfoot), Ashley (Jesus) Virgen of Farr West, Trevor Madson (Logan) and her cat Molly.
