Shane Vernon Hudman

Shane Vernon Hudman, 20, died Thursday, May 13, 1993 at the Bear River Valley Hospital.

He was born May 16, 1972, in Tremonton, a son of Sterling Marvin and Luella Smith Hudman.

At three years of age, he moved to Shelley, Idaho where he lived for 14 years attending Shelley schools. He moved to Tremonton in 1989 and graduated from Bear River High School in 1990.

Shane loved all sports, especially basketball and softball, excelling in both. He was recently chosen as MVP Golden Glove Award in the Brigham City Ice Breaker Tournament and was selected for the all-star team. He also loved archery, rifle hunting, water-skiing and snow-skiing.

He was a member of the Tremonton 2nd LDS Ward, where he was active in sports and was a stake referee.

Surviving are his parents, Sterling and Becky Hudman, Malad, Idaho; Luella and LaVal Bateman, Shelley, Idaho; grandmother, Una Price, Tremonton; four brothers, Marvin (Brenda) Hudman, Snowville; Preston (Debbie) Hudman, Harrisville; Clifton (Heidi) Hudman, Ogden; Phillip Hudman, serving LDS Mission in Dallas, Texas; four sisters, Judy (Dale) Collom, Diana (Blake) Poppleton, June (Ross) Phillips, Tina (Paul) Fulgham, all of Tremonton; 32 nieces and nephews.

He was preceded in death by one nephew, Michael Dale Collom.

Funeral services will be held Tuesday, May 18, 11 a.m. at the Tremonton 2nd/5th Ward Chapel, 300 S, Tremont (Street), with Bishop Kent McMurdie officiating. Friends may call Monday from 6 to 8 p.m. at Rogers and Taylor Funeral Home, 111 N. 100 E., Tremonton, and Tuesday 9:30 to 10:30 a.m. at the chapel.

Burial in the Tremonton Riverview Cemetery.
