Seymour B. Naef

SALT LAKE CITY – Seymour B. Naef 80, died April 12, 1998, at the LDS Hospital of a stroke.

Seymour was born June 19, 1917, in Downey, Idaho to Charles Daniel and Alma Katherine Scheibel Naef. He married Rena Ransom July 21, 1947. She died January of 1990. He later married P. Nell C. Liefting November 23, 1993.

Seymour was an active member of the LDS Church. He served an LDS mission in the Northwestern States Mission. He had many church callings that he enjoyed very much, and was also active with the high priests. He loved to serve others, and also loved everyone. He will be missed by all of his family and friends.

Seymour is survived by his wife, P. Nell C. Naef, of Salt Lake City; children, John C. Myers (Bonnie) of Los Osos, California, Maud Mary Wilkinson ((Ron) of Layton, Utah, Debbie Welling (Larry) of Springfield, Oregon; stepchildren, J. Th. Blanche Weteling (John) of West Valley, Utah; D. David Liefting (Kaye) of West Valley, Utah; 18 grandchildren and two great-grandchildren; brother, Ralph G., sisters, Deloria Andersen and Verda Henry, both of Pocatello, Laurine Hancock, Downey, and Florence Campbell, McCammon. He was preceded in death by four brothers and four sisters.

Funeral services were held Thursday, April 16, 1998, at noon in the Salt Lake Liberty Eighth Ward, 500 South 270 East, Salt Lake City. Friends call at Memorial Estates Mortuary, 5850 South Ninth East on Wednesday, April 15, from 6 p.m. to 8 p.m., and Thursday, April 16, at 11 a.m. in the Sale Lake Liberty Eighth Ward Chapel. Interment was in Mountain View Cemetery, ?15 East 7800 South, Cottonwood Heights, Utah.
