Bishop Gordon Crowther officiated at funeral services here, Saturday at Malad Second LDS Ward Chapel for Ruthinda Gibbs Yearsley, age 60, who died May 5th.
Speakers were Clifton Yearsley, Bishop G. Max King and Bishop Crowther who read the obituary. Family prayer was offered by Bishop Melvin Yearsley; invocation, by Gerald Yearsley and the benediction, by Norman Crowther. June Crowther and Norma Gleed sang a duet; Jenkin L. Palmer, a solo, accompanied by Myra Jean John. Prelude and postlude music was played by Mrs. Betty Crowther.
Danny K. Newman offered the dedicatory prayer at Brigham City Cemetery. Flowers were carried by members of Malad Second Ward Relief Society. Casket bearers were Dewaine Yearsley, Ralph Yearsley, Farrell Jenkins, Delbert Dabb, Sherman Hess and George Chandler.
Benson Funeral Home was in charge of arrangements.
Born Jan. 13, 1911, at Woodruff, Idaho, she was a daughter of Nathan David and Julia Ann Gibbs Yearsley. She was a member of the LDS Church. Surviving are a son, Nathan LaVern Yearsley, Provo; two brothers, Karl G., Richland. Wash., and Ralph Dee, Brigham City; two sisters, Mrs. Alta Letitia Y. Raymond and Julia May Yearsley, both of Malad, and four grandchildren.
