Rulon Allen Ward

REXBURG — Rulon Allen Ward, 83 of Sugar City, Idaho, died November 4, 1998, at Rexburg. He was born November 18, 1914, at Malad, Idaho, to Joseph Welton Ward and Elizabeth Christianna Allen. He attended schools in Malad and Utah State University.
He married Rose Dredge October 20, 1936, in the Logan LDS Temple. They resided near Snowville, Utah; Santa Clara, Utah, and most recently in Sugar City. He was an active member of the LDS Church. He served on the board of directors for the Box Elder Nursing Home, Box Elder County Fair Board, and was President of the Curlew Valley Lions Club. His loves were family, friends, ranching, farming, fishing and helping people in need.
Survivors include his wife; children: Karolyn (Arlin) Bartschi of Sugar City; David R. (Becky) Ward of Layton, Utah; Sheila (Spencer) Daines of Appleton, Wisconsin; George (Sheila) Ward of Washington, Utah; Allen (Julie) Ward of Spanish Fork, Utah; 40 grandchildren and 81 great-grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by his parents, stepmother Anne E. Ward, two brothers, three sisters, one granddaughter, and one great-granddaughter.
Funeral services were held Saturday in the Sugar City Stake Center with arrangements under the direction of Flamm Funeral Home, in Rexburg. Interment was in the Sugar City Cemetery.
